In cases where evPulse isn’t able to generate an optimized scheduled charge for you, and starts your charging immediately, this resulting period of charging is considered outside of ‘smart times.’ These cases typically occur because:
- You plugged in with a very low battery and evPulse charged your battery to 20% because you have Low Battery Protection enabled

There wasn’t enough time between when you plugged in and your desired ‘Finish Charging Before’ time

This necessary charge was not long enough to optimize (under 30 minutes)

You overrode the optimized charging schedule
